Batman Day: Amazon Has This 10-Film Batman Animated 4K Collection At Less Than Half Price
Fans of capes and catching criminals, rejoice: It’s Batman Day on September 20, and there are deals to be had across the Dark Knight’s adventures. Not to be outdone by the Superman movie collection we highlighted this week, Bruce Wayne has his own Blu-Ray bonanza on offer.
Amazon is offering the Batman 85th Anniversary Animated Collection in 4K for $79.99 – a steep 61% discount from the $204.99 list price. Across 10 movies, that’s $8 each.
The 10 movies in this set include some excellent comic adaptations, like The Killing Joke and the iconic Year One, as well as Gotham By Gaslight and Hush.
My favorite of the bunch has to be Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. This feature-length episode of the animated series packs everything you could want into a relatively short runtime.
There’s Conroy’s Batman, genuine emotional challenges for him to overcome, a surprising new threat, and Mark Hamill’s Joker.
Don’t skip Assault on Arkham, either. It’s just as much a story about the Suicide Squad as it is Batman, and it’s a really fun hour and change.
If you’re looking for live-action Batman adventures, Amazon also has a whole host of other options on sale.
The Batman 4K Film Collection includes the Keaton adventures, Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin, and it’s just $32.99, while the Dark Knight Trilogy is under $30 for the Blu-Ray version (albeit not in 4K).
Robert Pattinson’s recent entry, The Batman, is 63% off in 4K. I’ll take any excuse to watch it again, especially at $12.49, and if Mask of the Phantasm has you intrigued, the Complete Animated Series is $28.99 on Blu-Ray (it’s included in this set, too).
Now, if only we could skip time to play LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight before next year – even Bruce Wayne hasn’t got a gadget for that.
