NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPHL) — Police are investigating a robbery that took an unexpected turn earlier this week. Investigators say the suspect was stabbed with a samurai sword after he forced his way into a home.

According to Norristown Police, this happened around 8:45 a.m. Tuesday on Blackberry Alley. Marcus Armstrong, 35, is accused of robbing a man at gunpoint outside of a home. Investigators say Armstrong forced his way into the home, where he was then met by a roommate.

The roommate, armed with a samurai sword, stabbed Armstrong, who is recovering. Police say Armstrong ran away, leaving behind a trail of blood that helped police find him on Cherry Street, where he was taken into custody.
