Detectives launched an investigation Sept. 8 after receiving a complaint about suspicious messages found on a juvenile’s cell phone. Search warrants were executed on electronic devices as part of the inquiry.
Evidence indicated that Camila Pacheco, 27, of Pineville, allegedly supplied tobacco to the juvenile, authorities said. Pacheco turned herself in Tuesday at the Rapides Parish Detention Center, where she was booked on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and unlawful sale or distribution of tobacco products to a person under 21.
She was later released on a $1,000 bond.
The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Shelby Anderson of the Criminal Investigation Division at 318-473-6727.
The Sheriff’s Office noted that no booking photo would be released, as the charges are misdemeanors.
