NJ Online Gaming Breaks Record With $248.4M Revenue in August

New Jersey’s online gaming hit new heights in August, with $248.4 million in adjusted gross revenue. The state’s gaming board released these stats on Tuesday.

The numbers topped July’s take of $247.3 million. Year-over-year growth jumped to 25.2%. This surge pushed total state gaming money to $642.2 million, an all-time high.

FanDuel Casino led the pack. Their $57.1 million set a new bar as the first site to break $55 million in a single month. Their cash flow shot up 38.2% from last August.

Golden Nugget’s web games brought in $76 million, just above their May peak of $75.6 million. They cut back on giveaways, spending $3 million instead of July’s $9.4 million.

DraftKings earned $47.1 million, up 9% from 2024. Yet they still haven’t matched their best month, December 2024’s $51.3 million. Their strongest showing in 2025 was March’s $49.6 million.

The state’s bigger cut from online bets, now 19.75%, added $49.1 million to public funds. That’s $19.3 million more than last year. With four months left in 2025, tax money has hit $305.5 million, closing in on 2024’s total of $358.3 million.

Atlantic City’s physical casinos pulled in $311.9 million. Borgata topped the list at $80.2 million, its best since mid-2019. Hard Rock came next with $58.3 million, while Ocean Casino made $51.2 million.

Sports betting brought another $81.9 million, jumping 30.6% from last year. These combined streams pushed New Jersey’s gaming cash to record heights.

Seven web casinos crossed the $10 million mark in August. Borgata’s online games kept their streak going, ten straight months above $50 million. Fanatics Casino showed strong gains after fixing up their site in May.
