LSUA names Jeff Langston as inaugural COO and operations VP
Langston has served as dean of the College of Health and Human Services since 2023 and is currently interim dean of the College of Business. He will continue leading Health and Human Services until a new dean is named.
“We are very fortunate to be able to have such an experienced and seasoned professional in this crucial leadership position at LSUA during a time of tremendous enrollment and campus growth,” Chancellor Paul Coreil said. “Jeff’s many years of executive leadership experience makes him uniquely qualified to do an outstanding job.”
As COO, Langston will oversee LSUA’s operational, facilities, and student-facing services, including facility management, campus safety, technology services, capital projects, and risk management. He will also direct student support areas such as scholarships, financial aid, procurement, and auxiliary services.
The role carries a mandate for advancing innovation and efficiency across campus operations, including artificial intelligence initiatives, as well as strengthening governmental and community relations to secure resources for LSUA’s continued expansion.
Langston said he looks forward to aligning LSUA’s operations with its rapid growth. “My priority is to build on the university’s strong foundation by advancing strategies that support academic excellence and institutional growth,” he said. “With LSUA on an upward trajectory, I look forward to ensuring lasting success.”
Coreil emphasized that Langston’s appointment comes at a critical moment for the university, which has been recognized as Louisiana’s fastest-growing four-year institution. “Jeff’s leadership will be critical as we continue to build the systems and structures needed to sustain LSUA’s extraordinary growth,” Coreil said.
