abc27 News reported back in December 2024, when the King of Prussia Mall first announced that they would soon be welcoming a large Italian Marketplace called ‘Eataly’ to their store lineup in the fall of 2025.
The new Eataly is slated to open its first Pennsylvania location on Thursday, October 2, at 3:00 p.m.
The new 21,000+ square foot Eataly will feature a variety of retail and eating aspects, including:
“Our mission at Eataly is to showcase the Italian art of living through unparalleled experiences, transporting guests to Italy through our unique mix of retail and dining,” Tommaso Brusò, CEO of Eataly North America said. “Together with the team at Simon Property Group, we are thrilled to open our first location in Pennsylvania at King of Prussia – the premier shopping destination for the Greater Philadelphia area and one of the top centers in the country.”
According to King of Prussia, the new restaurant at Eataly will boast seating for over 200 guests across the restaurant and bar. Specifically, the restaurant is called La Pizza & La Pasta and is Eataly’s signature dining concept here in North America.
As for the market aspect of Eataly, that will carry over 450 Italian wine labels, plus a selection of Italian and local beers.
The quick service counters at Eataly will specifically be offering a Roman-style pizza by the slice, Gelato and sorbetto creations, and espresso drinks.
“King of Prussia has long been a destination for the very best in the region for retail, and the addition of Eataly, further strengthens our position as a culinary hub,” Jonathan Murphy, Co-President of North American Real Estate at Simon Property Group said. “We are incredibly proud to be home to Eataly’s first-ever location in Pennsylvania. We know that Eataly’s dedication to quality and tradition will resonate with our community, and the whole Philadelphia region, and we are thrilled to bring a taste of Italy to King of Prussia.”
Following their opening day, Eataly will host 10 days of activities which will feature tastings, demos, and more.
Currently, Eataly has 16 North American locations, which include markets in New York, Illinois, Massachusetts, Texas, Nevada, California, and New Jersey. Eataly also has over 60 stores worldwide.
