‘Ghost hunt’ comes to Topeka Cemetery on Saturday

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Paranormal enthusiasts are going on a ‘ghost hunt’ at the Topeka Cemetery this weekend.

Ghost Light Paranormal of Topeka hopes guest will be able to “commune with the spirits” at the historic cemetery, while also learning about the many historical figures who are laid to rest there.

“You’ve got some really amazing historians that know every inch of this cemetery that are going to be here, that are going to be able to tell us who was here, why they were here, why they’re important to Topeka and northeast Kansas,” Scott Price said, the founder of Ghost Light Paranormal.

Ghost Light Paranormal will bring its own equipment to ‘hunt’ for spirits, while also giving guests the opportunity to test it out for themselves.

“You just don’t go to the hardware store and just look for things you use to communicate with spirits,” Price said. “A lot of the equipment we use is used for other purposes, like finding electromagnetic field leaks or radio frequencies.”

The event starts at 6 p.m. and runs through 11 p.m. All ticket proceeds will go toward the Historic Topeka Cemetery. They can be purchased on Ghost Light Paranormal’s Facebook page or at the gate.
