Former Razorback golfer Stacy Lewis retiring at the end of LPGA season
Lewis, 40, said in a post on X
“Never in a million years would I have thought this journey playing golf would still be going in 2025,” she wrote, “but the time has come to put the clubs away.”
Lewis is a 13-time winner on the LPGA Tour, with her first coming at the 2011 Kraft Nabisco Championship (now the Chevron Championship), a major.
“I’ve cared for the LPGA tour like it was my own child,” Lewis said, “and I’m so proud of the progress we have made, but to my fellow players: we aren’t done! I hope you all continue to push the tour forward and do all that you can to help on and off the course.”
Lewis will play the NW Arkansas Championship this weekend for the 19th and final time.
A University of Arkansas alum, Lewis was a four-time All-American in college and won the NW Arkansas Championship twice. Lewis won in 2014 and unofficially in 2007 due to the tournament being shortened due to inclement weather.
