The Green Cemetery had multiple graves damaged and destroyed. 27 News talked to Maple Hill resident Kerri Chilcoat about her discovery.
“That was sad because somebody came out and desecrated a very history piece of this County,” Chilcoat said. “That’s not right, even if it’s in the middle of nowhere, you don’t desecrate people’s graves.”
Chilcoat said she had filed a report with the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office about the situation.
