Participants Lace Up for Library’s Monthlong Trail Fundraiser
allenge which is aimed to help raise funds to extend the Library Hill Walking Trail. Participants can register to take part in a 5K or full marathon at their own pace and track their progress through out the month. Participants can choose either 3.2 miles or 26.1 miles, track their progress using any means they like and once completed will receive a finisher’s bib and medal.Adeana Estoll, Library Foundation Coordinator and Kim Crow Sheaner, Library Director shared with KTLO News their excitement about the fundraising opportunity.
Estoll gives details on how the virtual challenge works and what registered participants can expect.

Sheaner added that in the preliminary architectural renditions for the library a trail was shown however during initial construction funds were needed in other areas and library leaders chose not to build the trail at that time. She goes on to say that she is particularly excited for all the additional programs the library will be able to offer in the future.
