WAGGAMAN, La. (WGNO) — Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a Waggaman area homicide that happened on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
Deputies were alerted around 10 p.m. of a crash in the 6000 block of Live Oak Boulevard. When they arrived, an unresponsive man was found lying in a ditch near a vehicle suffering from several stab wounds, said JPSO deputies.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Also on the scene was the victim’s wife, 65-year-old Carmella Motley where she revealed during the investigation that there was an alleged fight between the two inside the vehicle.
A warrant was issued for Motley on allegations of second-degree murder.
No further details are available at this time. The Jefferson Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity after an autopsy is done and the family is notified.
