North Texas joins Rocky Horror’s 50th anniversary screening

GARLAND (KDAF) — Celebrate 50 years of The Rocky Horror Picture Show! On Oct. 23 at 8:30 p.m., join Garland Downtown Business Association for a one-night-only anniversary screening of the cult classic at Plaza Theatre. Costumes and audience participation encouraged—let’s do the Time Warp again!

Since its 1975 release, Rocky Horror has grown from midnight screenings to an international cultural institution. In recognition of its impact, the film was inducted into the Library of Congress National Film Registry, preserving its legacy as a “culturally, historically, and aesthetically significant” work.
