LUNA Fête, a New Orleans arts festival, has been rescheduled

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Arts New Orleans announced on Wednesday, Sept. 17, that LUNA Fête: Festival of Light, Art and Technology, will be postponed from November 2025 to November 2026.

The decision came as a result of shifts in federal funding and support, according to organizers. They said rescheduling allows Arts New Orleans to keep the festival free and open to the public while delivering its projection mapping on Gallier Hall and other artworks spanning Lafayette Street to the Piazza d’Italia.

“LUNA Fête is one of the most ambitious cultural events in New Orleans, bringing world-class light art experiences to tens of thousands of residents and visitors,” said Joycelyn Reynolds, President and CEO of Arts New Orleans. “While postponing is never easy, we are committed to presenting LUNA Fête at the highest possible level. Rescheduling to 2026 allows us to deliver a festival that is powerful, transformative, and worthy of our community.”
