PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two people were hospitalized after a logging truck trailer flipped, spilling its load onto three cars, officials said.

On Monday morning, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said they received a call from a worried driver about a log truck driving erratically on Highway 62 with its trailer wobbling.

Just after that, deputies said they received multiple calls that the log trailer had flipped at an intersection, dumping logs onto the roadway.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they said they found three vehicles, a Ford F-150, a Hyundai Elantra and a Nissan cargo van, that had been crushed by the logs.

The Ford and Hyundai drivers were both injured and taken to medical facilities for treatment.

The truck driver, as well as the trucking company, are both cooperating with the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
