The Gresham Police Department said they confirmed via surveillance video that the suspect had “fled the area.”
Police had been searching for the suspect, described as “possibly armed,” between Southeast 185th Avenue and Southeast 187th Avenue and between Burnside Street and Southeast Stark Street. A shelter-in-place order was issued for that area around 4:11 p.m. but it was lifted 30 minutes later.
Though police announced the shelter-in-place order was lifted, law enforcement officials did not say the suspect was apprehended, only that he left the area.
Anyone with information about the search is encouraged to contact Gresham police.
