The Gala 2025 seeking sponsors to honor Breast Cancer survivors

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Organizers of The Gala 2025 are calling on community sponsors to help make this year’s celebration unforgettable for breast cancer survivors.

The annual event, founded by Barbara Holmes, will be held Sunday, October 12, at 4 p.m. at Jade Events,

2833 Summer Grove Drive in Shreveport.

Holmes says the gala is her way of reminding survivors they are not alone. “We want to make them feel like a queen for the day,” she said.

Among those to be honored is Josette Franklin-Paysinger, a 17-year breast cancer survivor. She says community support is critical. “When we have people like Barbara that support us, we know that we can survive this fight,” she shared.

Tickets are $25, and Holmes stresses that sponsor support is needed to keep the event free for survivors. Those interested in contributing can contact her at 318-393-0520 or donate via CashApp at $TheGalaGlam2000.
