Suspect sketch released in Santa Cruz August sexual assault
(KRON) — Santa Cruz police released Tuesday a sketch of the suspect in a sexual assault this past August that left the victim seriously injured.

The incident happened on Friday, Aug. 8 in the 800 block of Frederick Street between 1:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.

“The survivor, an adult female, reported being violently attacked and sustained serious injuries,” said police in a statement. “A composite sketch, created with the assistance of the survivor, was released. We ask that you look at the sketch and assist us in identifying the suspect.”

The suspect is described by investigators as a white man in his mid-to-late 20s with a thin build, and approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall.

Detectives said they are also awaiting lab results to analyze as evidence.
