Police investigation near Wallis Hall at UNC Charlotte

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — UNC Charlotte police are currently investigating an incident near Wallis Hall, according to an alert sent out by the university’s Emergency Management team.

The alert urges anyone who is in the area to stay indoors if it’s safe to do so. Those already outside are being asked to move away from the area as a precaution.

Officials have emphasized that there is no confirmed threat at this time, but are continuing to monitor the situation.

The university has not provided further details yet. An “all clear” will be sent when it is known to be safe to resume normal activities, UNC Charlotte said.
