Overflowing toilet causes minor flooding at Phenix City Elementary School

PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WRBL) – Students at Phenix City Elementary School were rerouted to class Monday morning after minor flooding in the building, according to the school district.

A district maintenance worker said a toilet overflowed overnight, leading to water in the main hallways.

During morning drop-off, a trail of water could be seen coming from the school.

District officials said students were redirected to classrooms without interruption, and parents were notified about the situation.
