Man seriously injured after shooting in Fairfax County; suspect in custody

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — A suspect was taken into custody after a shooting in Fairfax County left a man hospitalized early Monday morning, according to police.

Just minutes before 6 a.m., the Fairfax County Police Department said officers were on the scene of a shooting in the 12700 block of Fantasia Drive near Dranesville.

The victim was taken to the hospital in “life-threatening condition,” police noted.

During the preliminary investigation, detectives located a vehicle possibly linked to the shooting. Shortly after, the suspect was taken into custody with the help of Herndon police officers.
