KAAL-TV reports that the crash happened at the intersection of 170th Street and 890th Avenue in Oakland Township, which is between Albert Lea and Austin and less than 10 miles from the Iowa border.
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office said one school bus hit the other on its rear passenger side.
Five children on the bus that was hit were taken to a hospital, as was the driver of the other bus. Fortunately, none of the injuries are considered life-threatening, KAAL reports.
