Assault on Warm Springs reservation leads to federal prison sentence

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A man was sentenced to federal prison for assaulting someone on the Warm Springs reservation in 2023.

Antoine Scott, 28, was sentenced to more than a year in federal prison and three years of supervised release for the assault and the prohibited possession of a firearm.

Officials say Scott had approached a truck in June 2023 and “began punching the passenger through the window.” The victim’s head and hands were injured.

When released from custody, Scott absconded from his pretrial supervision, according to police. He was arrested again in June 2024, and investigators recovered two firearms from Scott’s residence and methamphetamine from his sock.

Scott pleaded guilty on May 21, 2025.
