Teen who fell to his death during weekend sideshow in East Bay identified
(KRON) — The 16-year-old boy who died from a fall on an I-80 onramp during an early Saturday morning sideshow in Crockett has been identified as of Monday afternoon. According to the Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office, the deceased was identified as Jose Cuevas.

Jose was a resident of the Harbor City neighborhood in Los Angeles, according to the coroner’s office.

The sideshow happened around 3:26 a.m. when 100 vehicles were blocking the intersection of Pomona and Merchant streets near the I-80 westbound offramp, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Authorities said Jose fell 75 feet off the offramp in Crockett.
