Man charged with aggravated arson after Baton Rouge house fire

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A man was arrested in connection with a Baton Rouge house fire over the weekend.

Firefighters responded to the 9200 block of Tracy Avenue near Joor Road around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, after a reported house fire. The Baton Rouge Fire Department assisted District 6 in fighting the fire that was coming from the back of the home.

A woman living in the home told deputies that she believed that the fire was set intentionally. Eloy Mora, 31, was detained before being arrested and charged with aggravated arson.
