Tickets are $100, and proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Louisiana.
This year’s house is a single-story home, 2,837 sq. ft., with four bedrooms and three plus bathrooms.
Blake Romero, owner of Legendary Contractors, said they have built houses for the giveaway for the last three years.
“Myself, along with my business partner, Bobby, we donate our time and our efforts to build the house,” Romero said. “Both my wife and Bobby’s wife own a design company, so they are also the designers. They have a company called Inspire. Again, they’re donating their time to come up with this wonderful color scheme and wonderful details of the house.”
The home is detailed with cathedral ceilings, Jack and Jill bedrooms and an open-floor concept plan.
“It’s our way of giving back to the community,” Romero said. “I’ve got young kids, and while I’ve never had to experience this, I know people that have had to use these services. So, any way we can give back, we’re always going to step up to the plate.”
