Divers and medics respond to Rock River water rescue
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rescue crews were called to the banks of the Rock River in downtown Rockford Monday morning for a water rescue.
Divers, medics, and fire department personnel hurried to the area behind the Rockford Public Library, near the E. State Street Bridge, around 10:16 a.m.
A body was recovered from the water around 12:15 p.m.
