Caroline Cuzeau of Longmeadow was appointed Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. Cuzeau has served as Big Y’s Senior Manager of Finance since 2020 and has over two decades of experience in the financial planning and analysis field.
Cuzeau also co-led the employee resource group Y You Belong, which aims to foster an inclusive and fair workplace culture. In her new role, she will focus on streamlining financial operations, supporting strategic initiatives, and leading a team to drive the budgeting process.
Morgan Spencer of Longmeadow has been appointed Director of Retail Marketing. She began working at Big Y in 2006, where she helped open Fresh Acres Market as a produce clerk. After graduating from college, she transitioned to the Big Y Store Support Center and served in several roles in the floral and produce department.
Spencer joined the marketing department in 2017 and served as the Manager of Marketing Services. In 2022, she was promoted to Senior Retail Marketing Manager. Spencer also helped found XYZ, an employee resource group that helps bridge the generational gap between employees at Big Y.
She was named a “40 Under 40” Rising Leader by the Griffin Report of the Northeast in 2017, and was recognized as a Progressive Grocer Top Women in Grocery: Rising Star in 2021. In her new role, Spencer will oversee the alignment and integration of marketing technology, production workflow, channel initiatives, and data-driven strategies.

Anita Giroux of Hatfield was named Director of IT Infrastructure, where she will oversee the networking and hardware support departments, maintain and lead IT infrastructure planning, and lead the security and controls department. Giroux has over 25 years of experience in the IT field and joined Big Y in 2019 as the Manager of Networking & Hardware Support.
In 2023, Giroux was promoted to Senior Manager of Networking & Hardware Support. She is a Microsoft Certified Professional and a Microsoft Office User Specialist.

Beth Young of Westfield has been appointed as District Director, where she will oversee 16 locations throughout Connecticut. She began working at Big Y in 2021 as a district sales and merchandising mentor, having over 20 years in the retail industry.
Young worked at Stop & Shop beginning in 1998 as a part-time cashier and has taken on many leadership roles since, including Store Manager, Center Store Manager, Regional Customer Service Manager, and District Director.
Young has been recognized as one of the Griffin Report’s Women of Influence and as a Progressive Grocer Top Women in Grocery. She is a co-leader of Big Y’s employee resource group Women L.E.A.D., which focuses on empowering women leaders in both professional and personal development.
As District Director, Young will focus on providing a personalized shopping experience for customers, and will be responsible for staffing, training and development, operational execution, and driving sales strategies and results. She will report to Senior Director of Supermarket Operations Christian D’Amour.
