The brawl broke out between 3 and 3:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, in the area of Santa Monica Boulevard between San Vicente and Robertson boulevards — a stretch of WeHo where popular bars are located.
It was not immediately clear what started such a large fight, but LASD estimated that about 20 to 30 people participated in the violent scuffle, resulting in one woman being stabbed.
Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital, and her condition remained critical as of 1 p.m. on Sunday. She has only been identified as a woman in her early 20s.
The suspect, only described by authorities as a male, fled the location in an unknown direction.
Details are limited, but footage from the Citizen app showed investigators still had the area closed off to traffic around 10 a.m. Sunday.
Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
