Muscogee County Jail employee in custody for sexual relations with inmate

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office received information on Saturday about allegations of a Muscogee County Jail medical employee engaging in sexual relations with an inmate.

According to Sheriff Greg Countryman, further investigation revealed that the contract medical provider employee, Jasmine Threatts, did engage in sexual relations with an inmate while she was on duty at the Muscogee County Jail.

MCSO investigators immediately took Threatts into custody without incident. She was booked into the Muscogee County Jail and charged with Felony Improper Sexual Contact by Employee.

This case remains under investigation.
