After arriving at the Indianapolis Zoo in May, the giant Aldabra Tortoises have made their way to a permanent new home, according to zoo officials.
Originally the tortoises were located in a temporary location while the permanent exhibit was being built
On Saturday, they slowly but steadily made their way across the zoo to their new exhibit located next to Deserts.
The new Giant Tortoise exhibit is designed for year-round comfort. It includes an outdoor yard so the tortoises can bask and explore, along with a mud wallow and a pool. Additionally, there is also an indoor area for cooler weather, which also hosts a pool.
