Division Fire Chief Charles Felton, with the Jackson Fire Department (JFD), said the crash occurred at The Park at Inverness on Ridgewood Road around 1:30 p.m. on September 13, 2025.

When firefighters arrived, they found a vehicle that was on fire. They were able to extinguish the flames, and the body of a male was found in the front driver’s seat.

According to Felton, witnesses reported the vehicle clipped a parked vehicle and hit a fence. The investigation is ongoing.
