Two Utahns dead following multi-vehicle crash in Idaho
MALAD CITY, Idaho (ABC4) — Two people from northern Utah were killed in a three-vehicle crash in Oneida County on Wednesday, September 10.

According to Idaho State Police, the crash happened Wednesday night, around 9:16 p.m., at 700 N and 100 W in Malad City, Idaho. The victims were a 47-year-old man from Fielding, Utah and a 45-year-old woman from Tremonton, Utah.

A juvenile was also traveling in the car with the two adults, and the juvenile sustained critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The three people were traveling southbound on 100 West in a 2014 Ford Focus when the car went off the road onto the right shoulder. The driver overcorrected, and the car rolled over. It hit two empty vehicles that were parked on the left shoulder.

The man and the woman sustained critical injuries, and they were transported to a local hospital via ground ambulance, where they later died from their injuries.

Idaho State Police said that the juvenile was wearing a seatbelt, but they did not give any information about if the two adults were wearing seatbelts.

No further identifying information about the victims is available at this time. Idaho State Police is currently investigating the crash.
