Third suspect arrested in Jackson quadruple shooting
Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said Reginald Hayes, 19, was arrested on September 12, 2025, and charged with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
The shooting occurred in the 5600 block of Dogwood Trail around 11:00 p.m. on August 30, 2025. Brown said officers discovered Roosevelt Denson, Jr., 48, deceased at the scene. He suffered at least one gunshot wound.
The three other victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Brown said one of the three injured victims, Zacchaeus Daniel Johnson, 26, died around 4:30 a.m. on August 31, 2025.
Jackson police previously arrested Mason Pearce, 18, and Jordan Crawford, 21, in connection to the case. Both men were charged with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault. They were denied bond on September 3, 2025.
