A threat directed toward Princeton Public Schools has not stopped the district from having classes on Friday, but extra security measures are being taken.
A news release from Princeton Public Schools stated that there was a potential, unverified threat made against its middle school. However, the district said all schools would be in session on Friday, with “increased safety protocols” in place.
Those protocols, according to the district, will include a larger police presence at each school building.
Parents who wish to keep their children home from school on Friday can do so and it will be considered an “excused absence” by the district.
At this time, the district stated that police have not yet identified the person making the threat and asks that anyone with information regarding who made the threat to contact the police.
