Mississippi triple homicide suspect indicted on four counts
STATE LINE, Miss. (WKRG) — The suspect in a triple homicide that happened on New Year’s Day in State Line, Miss., has been indicted on four charges, according to the Greene County District Attorney’s Office.

A grand jury indicted 37-year-old Drexler Dwight Johnson

on three counts of capital murder and one count of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Johnson was originally arrested Jan. 9 on charges of accessory after the fact and conspiracy to commit a crime, but in March his charges were upgraded.

Johnson is accused of shooting and killing Lester Campbell, Rhonda Denson, and Dirk Jason Thornton at a Clark’s Exxon gas station on Saint Peter Street during a robbery.

Johnson’s initial court date has not been set.
