East side shooting leaves man dead
INDIANAPOLIS – A man is dead after being shot on the east side early Friday morning.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched at 1:14 a.m. to the 6200 block of Eastridge Drive. They found a man who’d been shot outside the residence.

Police said he was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, where he later died. IMPD said the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.

The Marion County Coroner’s Office is assisting in determining the exact manner and cause of death. The MCCO will release the name of the decedent once proper next-of-kin notification has been made.
