By rssfeeds-admin Noah Whitefield Madrano, 43, transported a 13-year-old girl from Canada to Oregon City, where he sexually abused her, the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office said.
The Clackamas County Senior Deputy District Attorney described Madrano as a “manipulative, sadistic, violent, dangerous pedophile.”
Madrano met his victim online in 2021 after posing as a 17-year-old boy. Prosecutors said he groomed the girl, then sexually exploited her for more than a year before meeting her in Edmonton, Alberta, in May 2022. He then took her to a hotel room, sexually abused her, and recorded it, officials said.
After returning to Edmonton in June 2022, Madrano picked the girl up from school, then forced her to hide in the trunk of his car as they crossed the border back into the U.S. after she was previously under the impression they would only be spending a few days together.
The girl was forced to cut and dye her hair, and Madrano told her to use a false name and say she was a runaway secretly hiding in his trunk if she was caught. He then brought her to an Oregon City hotel room, where police located the pair on July 2, 2022.
Oregon City police officers and FBI agents took Madrano into custody. Police later found a journal kept by the girl, writing that Madrano threatened to rape and kill her repeatedly, including that he would have sex with her corpse.
The girl, who is now 16, did not attend the sentencing, but her victim’s impact statement was read aloud by Clackamas Deputy DA Amos.
“Awful things happened to me. (Madrano) violated my body and put me on display. He physically abused me if I said ‘no’. I have physical scars on my body that will not go away. It’s hard to put into words how much pain and trauma I feel,” her statement read. “I still have very dark days. I will carry this pain with me for my entire life. He does not value human life. He took my dignity and violated me in the worst ways imaginable.”
The girl’s mother also released a written statement, saying in part that much of the damage that Madrano caused is “irreparable” and describing him as “a vile predator who lurks in the underbelly of an unregulated internet” and “the lowest form of human being.”
In January, Madrano was sentenced to 50 years in prison after pleading guilty to federal charges in a U.S. District Court in Portland for sexually exploiting a child and transporting a child with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity. On Friday, Madrano pleaded guilty to Clackamas County charges of second-degree kidnapping and first-degree sex abuse, for which he was given a 75-month prison sentence that will run concurrently with the previous federal sentence.
