Cash Miles gets his moment at the Mustang Bowl

Before accomplishing his dream of scoring inside the Mustang Bowl, he was accompanied by young brother Case, who has always been his lead blocker.

Case Miles said, “My mom and dad always told me the story of how I almost beat up another kid because Cash accidently tripped over her. That’s one of my favorite stories that they always tell me. I don’t personally remember it.

Cash’s dad Matt Miles added, “And I pick Cash up and I see Case across the room bolting across the room to come to his brothers’ aid.”

Cash said, “Even at two years old, run over and want to beat up someone that’s a little older than him. Just having a brother that’s been wanting to protect like that. It’s amazing.

That’s why the unconditional love and encouragement received from his brother, his father, Matt, and his mother Annie, led to this wonderful moment.

Cash said, “It all adds up. I get to play in the same bowl that my grandfather did, that my father did, that my great uncles and my uncles as well, my brother did as well. To wear my father’s number, to play alongside my brother, It all added up. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. It’s incredible really.”

Case said, “I love seeing my brother do this. It’s a blessing. God has blessed us so graciously in our lives. And I’m so grateful for what has happened in our lives.”

Cash added, “Not only the family, but even just to have that kind of moment with family friends, and the classmates we’ve grown up with alongside us for all of our lives man.”

His dad said, “Watching him accomplish something that was a dream means a lot, especially for a father and even his mother, you know? Just because you’re blind doesn’t mean you can’t not do things. Go live life, go travel, go play football, go ride a bull, and go do the things that you want to do.”
