Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration reports 112,000 appointments scheduled since program put in place

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials said a program begun by the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration to reduce wait times at local revenue offices is seeing a lot of activity.

DFA officials said the program has seen 112,000 Revenue Office appointments since its March launch. Walk-in service is still available, officials said, but with the appointment program, a Revenue Office employee is ready to respond, and wait time is eliminated.

By visiting the Schedule or Find an Appointment page on the DFA website, officials said, Arkansans can set a date and time to visit the Revenue Office for any service, from registering a vehicle to renewing a driver’s license. A Revenue Office employee will be ready to assist the customer at that time.

“The appointment system empowers Arkansans, allowing them to choose the time frame in which they will be served,” said DFA Secretary Jim Hudson. “Customers walk into the office knowing DFA is prepared to complete their specific transaction.”

Hudson encouraged anyone who has not used the appointment system to give it a try.
