ATMORE, Ala. (WKRG) — A man convicted in a 1997 murder and sentenced to death now has a scheduled execution, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections.
An ADOC news release said the Alabama Supreme Court issued an order for Geoffrey Todd West to be killed by nitrogen hypoxia.

West was convicted of the murder of Margaret Parrish Barry in Etowah County.
Gov. Kay Ivey scheduled the execution timeframe to be from 12 a.m. on Sept. 25 to 6 a.m. on Sept. 26, with the start time expected to be 6 p.m. on Sept. 25.
The execution will take place at the William C. Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore.
