Suspect at large in fatal stabbing in SF’s Taraval district

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The San Francisco Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred in the Taraval district Wednesday as a homicide. According to SFPD, officers responded around 4:38 p.m. on a reported stabbing in the area of Junipero Serra Boulevard and Ocean Avenue.

Arriving on the scene, officers found a man suffering from an apparent stab wound. Responding officers requested paramedics who transported the victim to the hospital where they later died.

“My heart goes out to the victim and his family in this horrific incident,” said Interim SFPD Chief Paul Yep. “We are devoting significant resources to this case, and our investigators are working tirelessly on this investigation. We will not rest until this suspect is in custody.”

No arrest has been made at this time, police said. SFPD declined to release any information about the victim or potential suspects.
