SNYDER, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The Snyder Independent School District (ISD) was briefly placed on Hold status Thursday afternoon following an off-campus incident.
District officials said that students remained in classrooms while hallways were cleared, and normal instruction continued.
“At no time was there a safety concern for students or staff, and the Hold was lifted after 6 minutes,” Snyder ISD officials shared.
The incident comes the same day that other districts in the Big Country also reported disruptions: Clyde ISD went into lockdown, while Eula ISD issued a secure status. Eastland ISD also investigated an incident where a message on a bathroom stall indicated a possible threat.
