(KRON) — Fairfield police said they were tipped off to a suspect trying to break into a storage facility by a witness sleeping in a nearby vehicle.

Police said officers responded to the incident at 3:51 a.m. Monday in the 1900 block of Walters Court.

“The caller told Dispatch he was sleeping in his vehicle across the street from the business when he saw what appeared to be two people using a crowbar to gain access to the building,” said police.
