SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — A Shreveport man has been found guilty of murdering his ex-partner and her mother.

Donald Dwayne White II, 32, was found guilty on Wednesday. At the time of the crime, White was estranged from his ex-partner. In January 2024, he forcibly entered her parents’ home and shot them both. His ex-partner managed to flee, but he caught up with her and shot her four times. Three children were inside the home during the attack.

His ex-partner’s mother died, but her father survived and testified against White during the trial, identifying him as the killer.

After he was identified and arrested, White admitted to the murders during a tape-recorded interview. When he received his verdict, White was found guilty of two second-degree murders and also found guilty of attempted second-degree murder.

According to the Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office, White faces mandatory life sentences without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence for the two murders.

He will be sentenced on Sept. 19.
