According to Eugene police, 38-year-old Ean Douglas Lynum is accused of the theft, which depleted the league’s entire fund balance.
The theft “heavily impacted a Bethel area league, leaving no money for proper gear for the youth participants,” police said.
Officials added that Lynum was the league’s treasurer at the time.
Lynum is charged with first-degree aggravated theft and misapplication of entrusted property.
Anyone with further information on this case is encouraged to contact Eugene police.
