Missing woman last seen in Logan Square
CHICAGO — Authorities in Chicago are seeking help from the public in the search for a woman who officers say went missing on Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, a search is underway for 74-year-old Maritza Arroyo Calderon, who police say was last seen around 4 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of North Sawyer Avenue and North Emmett Street, in Logan Square, on the city’s Northwest Side.

Officers said the missing woman, who stands between 5-foot-4 and 5 feet tall and weighs around 150 pounds, has brown eyes as well as white and black hair.

Police say Arroyo Calderon was last spotted wearing a red T-shirt with a green long-sleeve shirt underneath and could also possibly be wearing two separate pieces of footwear, one sandal and one gym shoe.

A photo provided by Chicago police also shows Arroyo-Calderon with earrings, though it is unclear if she had any at the time of her disappearance.

Authorities provided details on the search on Wednesday afternoon.
