The Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights reported that its hotline received 500 calls related to ICE sightings and activity on Tuesday alone—compared to an average of 100 calls per month previously.
Activists believe individuals arrested by ICE may be taken to the Broadview immigration center, although this has not been confirmed.
