LIVE UPDATES: FBI offering reward of up to $100,000 for information

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — FBI seeking information on suspect that allegedly shot and killed Charlie Kirk.

Vice-President JD Vance is en route to Utah a day after Charlie Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA and conservative influencer, was shot and killed at an event at Utah Valley University.

Sources tell ABC4 that he will be coming to Utah with his wife to support her as she deals with the unthinkable loss and will escort the transfer of her husband’s remains.

On Thursday morning, President Donald Trump visited the Pentagon for a 9/11 memorial ceremony. There, he took a moment to speak on the assassination of Kirk and announce that he will be posthumously awarding Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

The FBI said investigators have found camera footage that follows the individual’s path onto a nearby roof where he is believed to have fire the single shot, killing Kirk. They have also recovered a weapon from the scene.

This is a LIVE BLOG and ABC4 will be updating this article with developments throughout the day.
