Clyde Intermediate School placed on lockdown after threat received
The Chief of the Clyde Police Department, Trevor Barnes, confirmed that the school received a threat and was placed on lockdown on the morning of September 11.
Police say they now believe they are in a position to lift the lockdown safely, and they are working with other agencies to investigate the situation further. Our reporter on the scene saw several parents gathered outside the school during the lockdown.
Eula Independent School District placed all campuses in a secure status on Thursday morning as a precautionary measure. This allowed normal classroom activities to continue inside while restricting access to and from the buildings. The decision was made based on recommendations from the Department of Public Safety regarding a situation in the area.
