Boudreaux on Charlie Kirk shooting: ‘My heart sunk’
TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, who was shot dead during an event in Utah on Wednesday, was described by Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux as an “incredibly gracious man, very kind, but brilliant.”

“He knew what he stood for. And, the words that he chose were always so very articulate,” said Sheriff Boudreaux.

Sheriff Mike Boudreaux’s comments were made on Wednesday, following the shooting of Charlie Kirk,

but before officials revealed that Charlie Kirk had been killed in the incident.

“It’s a shocking event, shocking to the senses, especially when many of us had the opportunity to meet him most recently,” said Boudreaux about the shooting.

Sheriff Boudreaux says, “My heart sunk” when he heard about the incident.

Boudreaux described the shooting as an unbelievable and cowardly act, committed by someone “who obviously is not within their right mind.”
